But here's the problem, and it applies to almost every woman currently taking berberine: almost nobody establishes a baseline before they start. They read a glowing thread, order a bottle, and begin taking 500mg with breakfast — and two weeks later they feel "better," which they attribute to the berberine. Or they feel no different, which they attribute to the berberine not working. Neither conclusion is reliable, because they have nothing to compare against.
The dose question compounds this. Doses in the research range from 500mg to 1,500mg per day. Timing varies — before meals, with meals, split doses. Without a structured approach, you're not running an experiment. You're guessing with an expensive supplement and your own health.
What Berberine Actually Does in a PCOS/PMOS Body
