Edamame, Feta & Mint Smash

A salty, bright snack that works on cucumber rounds, seed crackers, or straight from the bowl. Edamame adds protein and fibre, feta brings flavour so you need less of everything else, and mint plus lemon keep it fresh enough for the afternoons when savoury sounds better than another sweet option.

What this recipe does

Built to keep you fuller, steadier, and less snacky after eating.

Why it fits PCOS/PMOS goals

Higher-protein meals usually make Atlas pattern data cleaner because they soften the crash-and-crave loop common in PCOS/PMOS.

Ingredients that matter most

edamame, feta, mint

How to log it fast

Log edamame first, then feta if that was the part most likely to affect energy, cravings, or symptoms.

Ingredients

If you log this in Atlas later, start with the main ingredients below. The pattern engine cares more about the meal signal than a perfect kitchen diary.

  • 200g frozen edamame beans
  • 50g feta, crumbled
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Small handful of mint leaves
  • Black pepper
  • Cucumber rounds or seed crackers, to serve

Method

  1. 1

Cook the edamame according to packet instructions, then drain and cool for a minute.

  2. 2

Roughly mash the edamame with the feta, olive oil, lemon juice, mint, and black pepper. Leave some texture.

  3. 3

Taste and add a little more lemon if needed.

  4. 4

Serve with cucumber rounds or seed crackers.

Why this works for PCOS/PMOS

Higher protein intake supports muscle maintenance and reduces insulin resistance — two of the most impactful dietary levers for managing hormonal health.
